Carolyn F. Spencer, M.Ed., LBSW, LPC-S, RPT

Ms. Spencer holds an undergraduate degree in elementary education from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She taught kindergarten and elementary school for eight years. She is also a graduate of the Master's Level Counselor Education program at Auburn University in Montgomery. She is a Licensed Bachelor of Social Work, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, and a Registered Play Therapist.

Ms. Spencer holds a specialty in assessment and treatment of child sexual abuse from The National Center for Child Sexual Abuse and has extensive experience in the mental health field specializing in work with children, adolescents, and families.

Ms. Spencer has served as an expert witness in many criminal and family court cases and has since 1997 served as an adjunct instructor at AUM teaching play therapy to graduate level counselor education students. She has made numerous presentations to professional groups in this specialty.

Ms. Spencer is a married mother of two children and a grandmother of two.
